A Taste of Yorkshire

A Taste of Yorkshire

Staying at the 3 Star Yorkshire Hotel, Harrogate
right in the centre of one of Yorkshire's most beautiful
towns and right opposite the famous Betty's Tea Shop, a must visit!

The Yorkshire Hotel

In the evening, you can enjoy the bustling atmosphere

of the Hg1 Brasserie, before relaxing with your

favourite tipple in our neighbouring bar.

Excursions include a trip to Whitby from where you can enjoy
a journey on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The 18 mile
line runs through the beautiful North York Moors National Park,
between the market town of Pickering and Grosmont.
Goathland Station is better known as both Aidensfield in TV’s
Heartbeat and Hogsmeade in the first Harry Potter film

North Yorkshire Moors Railway

The Brontë collections at the Brontë Parsonage Museum are the largest
and most important in the world. Haworth village is simply beautiful.
Stroll onto the high street where there are old,  interesting and
very individual shops including the warmly lit Apothecary

While in Whitby see the fishing trawlers setting sail and eat some
of the best Fish & Chips in England in one of the many Fish & Chip
shops. You might want to visit the Dracula Museum or stroll out
onto the breakwater. If you're feeling full of energy climb the
steps to Whitby Abbey. If not stroll the narrow streets and see
the Whitby Jet jewellery and visit one of the galleries selling art
works by local artists

Betty's Tea Rooms Harrogate

The story of Bettys began in 1919 when their founder, Frederick Belmont,

opened his first Bettys Café Tea Room in the fashionable

spa town of Harrogate.

The combination of mouth-watering Swiss confectionery

and Yorkshire warmth and hospitality in such an elegant

setting proved irresistible. Bettys was an instant

success. Nearly 100 years on, Bettys Harrogate

remains as popular as ever.

Bettys offers one of the best spots in town to enjoy the beauty of the town's surroundings.
